This workshop is Session 1 of 4 Sessions on PBL. This workshop will support project-based instruction development and will examine the alignment of standards, assessments, and student work. The outcome of this workshop will include: 1) Teachers will collaborate on rigorous unit designs and resulting student work to ensure alignment with standards and assessments and 2) Students will be engaged in rigorous learning resulting in improved achievement.
THIS WORKSHOP IS LIMITED TO 25 PARTICIPANTS FROM OTHER CSE OHIO SCHOOLS. PLEASE BRING YOUR LUNCH AND A LAPTOP.
Marty Sugerik, SREB Consultant. Marty is an instructional coach specializing in secondary mathematics, standards-based learning, technology, and literacy. He served six years as a chemist in the Nuclear Power Program where he was an instructor during his last two years of service. Marty has twelve years of classroom experience teaching 7th grade through undergraduate mathematics. Marty currently works as a consultant with the Southern Regional Education Board serving schools in Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, and North Carolina.
